After this last WORCS race at Glen Helen I found out that I needed to find some more power so I decided to find something that would really work; FMF Exhaust. I talked with the rep at Glen Helen and he basically said good luck. First I just wanted to find a slip on; he laughed and said join the club. I was on the list but it was going to be months. My grandpa was talking with Jacob at #FactoryPowersports in St. George, Utah about my dilemma. He started typing away trying to find a slip on; no luck but, yeah, but he said that in a warehouse in Nevada there was one that’s 1 complete FMF Exhaust system. Grandpa jumped on it and it came yesterday, Thursday, March 4th. Jacob called and said it was ready to pick up; OH YEAH!

It came complete with the MegaBomb shown below:

MEGABOMB
“The science behind the Megabomb header may be our greatest engineering accomplishment to date. You can pay an engine builder thousands or bolt on a Megabomb for as much as a 3hp boost! Plus, the megabomb actually reduces noise levels by as much as 1.5dB. The megabomb header will have you pulling holeshots and dusting all the boys on the way up Competition Hill. Simply bolt it on and go faster.” FMF

Then I took out the muffler or silencer out of the box with a smile on my face.
“If you’re a rider looking for a silencer that’s packing stellar looks and increased performance from a staple brand in motorsports, the FMF Factory 4.1 RCT Aluminum Silencer with Carbon End Cap is an option that we think sits close to the top of the class.”
“FMF distinguishes their 4.1 RCT from other silencers from the start by using premium materials and a refined design developed over years of industry experience. Features like FMF’s unique Resonance Chamber Technology (TM) (RCT), a specialized chamber that sits at the front of the slip-on, lowers your exhaust decibel level so it complies with FIM 2M max sound tests and the stringent AMA sound requirements so you can get into any trail and into any race where noise level regulations are enforced.”
“While the RCT lowers sound, what’s better is that it won’t eat up your bike’s power either. In fact the RCT chamber design refines and enhances exhaust pressure to give your bike gains throughout the rpm range. Power increases are tunable as well with the end cap housing FMF’s new Rapid Tuning System (RTS) that lets you swap race tips (sold separately) and the 94 db Quiet Core insert. With this level of performance and versatility FMF’s Factory 4.1 RCT Silencers really do serve as an excellent option for all types dirt and off-road riders.” FMF
THE INSTALLATION
After getting to grandpa’s home in Mesquite from St. George I couldn’t wait to get started. I got the tools out and quickly took off the Yamaha exhaust with no problems at all. I peaked at the instructions but decided I was going to put the FMF system on as fast as I could. It was a piece of cake; no problem at all.
