I got some really good tips on learning to jump for the first time from the Dirt Bike Channel. I actually set up two spots that when you pass the first spot you stand up press your legs together on the seat and lean over approximately to a 45 degrees angle and take the jump. I practiced for about 15 minutes then went over to a small jump and landed it a few times. I did notice that the first couple of times I was nose diving but then I remembered that I was supposed to pull up on the handle bars and press down a little bit on the but. It totally worked out so it was time to take the higher jump.
